Late last Friday night, an Arizona father told his son to "be careful driving." That was the last conversation the two ever had.

A fatal car accident took the lives of two people, including that father's son. The crash involved an SUV, a motorcycle and another vehicle. Two of the three drivers were killed, while the one responsible walked away largely unhurt.

The police identified a 17-year-old driver as being responsible for the collision. She was backing out of a driveway in the early hours Saturday morning when she crashed into a car being driven by local hip-hop artist Abay Lattin. Shortly after the initial crash, a student from Arizona State University slammed into the wreck on his motorcycle.

Lattin, who is better known as Carnegie from the band Silver Medallion, was killed in the accident. The co-lead singer from the band described him as "an incredibly talented human being with a positive outlook on life." He added, "he will be missed greatly."

The young motorcyclist was studying pre-med, and his friends and family remembered him as someone "who had a lot to give to the world." His sister was angry with the teenage driver who caused the accident, saying "That person took away my other's only son, and she took away my only brother, and he had his whole life in front of him."

Police Sgt. Steve Carbajal said that they are still investigating whether or not the 17-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol, but he did say that she displayed signs of being drunk at the time of the accident.
